Dreamgazer Everything that Ummagma touches is amazing and this Sounds of Sputnik remix adds an exciting electro psych vibe that becomes addictive not even half-way through the first listen. I can't wait for their full album together! Definitely the best modern rock music to ever come out of Eastern Europe!

about

Sounds of Sputnik add a 70s psychedelic edge and infuses this Stereolab-MBV-spirited uber-song 'Lama' with electro wonder. Originally performed by celebrated ethereal dreampop duo Ummagma, a Canadian-Ukrainian duo who have won the Alternative Eurovision two years in a row (2013 & 2014). Published also on the 'Lama' LP ummagma.bandcamp.com/album/lama-2
Look forward to Sounds of Sputnik's forthcoming collaboration with Ummagma soundsofsputnik.bandcamp.com/album/new-born

Moscow-based Sounds of Sputnik is the brainchild of Roma Kalitkin, combining post-rock, shoegaze & dream pop with a slight kickback to noise rock. This sound is inspired by My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Ride, Sonic Youth, Happy Mondays, and Slowdive, but the musical semblance is closer to the style of Mogwai, Air Formation, Hammock, Airiel, Jesu, Highspire, and The Twilight Sad.

lyrics

Sorry how I slide
All the way down low
All the way so can’t even find me

Funny how I fly
In the thick of rules
In the thick, does nothing but bind me

Hard to say but time to say it
Running in circles chasing your own tail
Hard to say but time to say it
Time to make time for making your own way

Do do do
Not alone, not living in solace
Do do do
On my road and this one is toll-less
No no no don’t say to me
You’re on your own in loneness
Not quite so, no you’re never alone no
Do do do
Not alone, not living in solace
No no no don’t say to me
